If you're a Korn fan, it's definitely an interesting read in terms of Fieldy's journey and the band's chronology. Lots of neat stories and insight into the band with all the highs and lows. It's refreshing to see someone who's brutally honest and sheds light on his state of mind and trying to find a path toward a more fulfilling life. The last 20-25% of the book didn't really cut it as it felt repetitive and overly preachy. He couldn't driven the point home in far fewer pages. It's understandable how Fieldy wants to give his story of redemption and show how he's a changed man, but it could've been done more succinctly. Perhaps it's just because I was more interested in Korn-related info. The latter part of the book may be better suited to those in a similar place looking to overcome addictions or other issues.
Nevertheless, if you're a Korn fan, "Got The Life" is worth checking out.

Got the Life edition by Brian Welch David Randall Silveria Fieldy James Christian Shaffer Jonathan Houseman Davis Korn Arts Photography eBooks Reviews
Great story of how God uses what Satin means for evil to turn around for good. Gives hope to the suffering addict and their loved ones.
His story inspired me. He was very open and sincere. He has a down to earth style. And, he found the Lord!
One of my favorite books I've read in a while. Very insightful in the life of a rock star. Fieldy has come full circle. What an amazing man. I would highly recommend to all not just Korn fans 😎
So great to have a book by Fieldy after having the book “Save Me From Myself” by Brian “head” Welch, it’s a must have to Korn fans! Loved it!
I enjoyed seeing how Fieldy changed his life around and came to salvation in Christ. I know people always are hating on him and Head just cuz they Love Jesus, but whatever, they both are doing what they feel is right for them and thats awesome. As a Christian Im glad to see more rockers come To salvation in Christ.
Rock star biographies are often inherently sad, because it seems that the story always points out some horrors in the nature of homo sapiens. This is true here, as well, as Fieldy wasted a lot of his life due to huge misunderstandings as to what "the life" really is. So glad he's on a better path now.
This book is essentially 2 books in one. The first book is an account of Fieldy's debauched life of sex, drugs, music, and disturbed home life, both growing up and when starting his own. The second half is after the trauma of his father's passing and finding religion. The first part, I felt, ran a little long. The second part was well written. He really shows you the contrast between his earlier life and his later. The first is really bad, the second really good. The letters to his band members and spouse are absolutely beautiful and worth the cost of the book alone. I would recommend reading Brian/Head's book as well for a different perspective.
